Academic Integrity at the Central Institute
Academic Integrity is at the heart of our values, and involves acting with the principles of honesty, fairness, trust, and responsibility to respect knowledge and its development.
We uphold ethical standards in all aspects of our students’ academic work, and also of our staff and leadership team.
Orientation and Learning Support
In Orientation Week, you are clearly informed of the importance of Academic Integrity and what it involves, are carefully guided through an introductory activity, and are then shown how to use an interactive module on your LMS.
Ongoing Support
We are also committed to providing comprehensive ongoing support to you in the form of:
- Drop-in sessions
- Workshops
- Private consultations and staff support
- Embedded support (into units of study)
- Online resources (LMS)
Assessment and Misconduct Prevention
Our assessment tasks are designed to minimise the possibility of academic misconduct by using diverse and authentic assessment methods.
Role of AI in Education
We are fully aware of the transformative potential of AI in education, including its ability to enhance learning, provide personalised feedback, and support you in developing your academic and technical skills.
