Course Withdrawal

Withdrawal Overview

You can withdraw from a course at any time; however, this may have academic and financial implications.

Domestic Students

  • Withdrawing before the census date means you will not incur tuition fees for that teaching period.
  • Withdrawing after the census date may result in financial liability, and the unit may appear on your academic record as withdrawn or failed, depending on the timing.

International Students

  • Withdrawing from a course may impact your student visa status, as visa conditions require maintaining full-time enrolment.
  • If you withdraw without transferring to another approved course, you may be at risk of visa cancellation.
  • Tuition fees may still apply depending on the timing of your withdrawal and the refund policy.

Important Advice

Before withdrawing, we strongly recommend consulting with Student Services to understand how this may affect your academic records, tuition fees, and visa or financial obligations.
