Flipped Learning at the Central Institute
At the Central Institute, we have adopted an innovative flipped learning model. It is an approach grounded in the belief that each time students come to class, they should gain a new capability.
Student-Centred Approach
The model is based on the key principles of flipped learning, which reorients the traditional teaching paradigm by placing students at the centre of the process, with the onus of knowledge acquisition for themselves.
Engagement and Active Learning
This approach has proved to be more engaging and promotes greater student success. Academic staff transition from simply lecturing in front of students to being the facilitator of active learning experiences within the classroom, such as discussions, problem-solving tasks, and collaborative projects.
Empowering Independent Learning
Academics establish the knowledge framework and provide resources for essential self-learning, enabling students to learn at their own pace and arrive prepared for in-class application and deeper engagement.
